Animation
In 2022, I started learning Blender from watching tutorials online (as one does). I fell in love with the program, using it to create funny films and gifs that express my humor and view of the world. I'm currently working on my grad thesis film, Tough Bird, which is a six-minute short made entirely in Blender.

About Me
Hi! I'm Lisa Cheong. I'm a Brooklyn-based comedy writer, 3D animator, and filmmaker who makes funny and bittersweet art. I was born and raised in Singapore where I worked as a journalist and copywriter before moving to America to pursue my *artistic passions*.
My work, which is influenced by Jim Henson and The Muppets, has been described as cheeky, irreverent and laced with an undercurrent of anxiety. I'm currently working on a 3D animated film in Blender called Tough Bird about an office pigeon who feels overlooked at work and falls prey to a toxic male bird-influencer online. I've also written and performed comedy across various theaters such as The People’s Improv Theater and Magnet Theater.
When I'm not working on my Visual Narrative MFA from the School of Visual Arts, I like napping, drinking coffee, and trying to shoot a perfect ten at the archery range.
